The 2026 Brewers' latest accomplishment puts them in a tier above any other team in franchise history

The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Cincinnati Reds 20-0, clinching their eighth playoff berth in nine seasons. This marks the second time in 2026 the Brewers have recorded a shutout victory with 20 or more runs, an unprecedented occurrence in MLB history. At 92-56, the 2026 Brewers are 36 games above .500, surpassing any previous team in franchise history despite injuries to key pitchers and a young roster. With 14 games remaining, the team needs just six more wins to break the franchise record of 97 wins set last year.
