The Brewers snapped a three-game losing streak by defeating the Dodgers 5-4 in Thursday's series opener despite dealing with multiple injuries to key players. Milwaukee entered the game short-handed, with Brice Turang sidelined by a left knee injury and Jackson Chourio playing through a thumb injury, but rallied in the ninth inning against Dodgers closer Edwin Díaz to secure the victory. Rookie left-hander Shane Drohan delivered a strong bounce-back performance after a poor outing against Minnesota, allowing just one run through five innings. Jackson Chourio scored the winning run in the ninth as the Brewers overcame a 4-2 deficit to earn what the team considered their best win of the season.
