Series Preview: Milwaukee Brewers vs. Texas Rangers

The Brewers return home for a three-game series against the Rangers while sitting 6.5 games ahead of the Cubs in the NL Central with an 82-51 record. Milwaukee's injury situation includes first baseman Jake Bauers (day-to-day with shin splints) and pitcher Dustin May (negative X-rays after being hit by a 106-mph liner), while several relievers remain on rehab assignments. The Rangers, defending 2023 World Series champions, have struggled since then and currently sit just a half game behind the Astros in the AL West despite a 66-68 record. Texas will be without third baseman Josh Jung, catcher Kyle Higashioka, and outfielder Michael Helman, along with multiple starting pitchers including Jack Leiter and Nathan Eovaldi.
