Giants Claim Joel Kuhnel

The Giants claimed right-hander Joel Kuhnel off waivers after the Brewers designated him for assignment. San Francisco will need to make roster space for Kuhnel, potentially by moving Marcelo Mayer to the 60-day injured list. Since Kuhnel has exhausted his minor league options, he will require an active roster spot with the Giants.
