Dodgers manager Dave Roberts is considering benching four-time MVP Shohei Ohtani for Game 3 of the NLCS against Milwaukee after Ohtani went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in Monday's Game 2 loss. Ohtani has struggled significantly in the postseason, collecting just three singles in 20 at-bats with seven strikeouts and no RBIs or extra-base hits through six games, while dealing with lingering knee and biceps injuries from the regular season. Roberts stated he plans to discuss the situation with Ohtani to determine what's best for both the player and the team. The Dodgers trail 0-2 in the series and face Game 3 against left-hander Robert Gasser, against whom Ohtani is 0-for-7 with four strikeouts in his career.
