Brice Turang could make Brewers history with deserved Silver Slugger Award this year

Brewers second baseman Brice Turang is on pace to exceed his career highs in doubles, home runs, and RBIs this season and could become the first Brewers second baseman to win a Silver Slugger Award since the award's inception in 1980. With 59 games remaining, Turang has already matched his career-high 28 doubles and ranks second among National League second basemen in OPS and on-base percentage while leading the position in walks. No Brewers player won the Silver Slugger last year despite three finalists, including Turang, who many felt was more deserving than winner Ketel Marte.
