Brewers' veteran Brandon Woodruff reverses course on season-ending surgery decision

Brandon Woodruff reversed his decision to have season-ending shoulder surgery after a recent scan showed unexpected healing in his anterior capsule tear. The 33-year-old Brewers pitcher will instead begin a five-week throwing program under the guidance of Dr. Keith Meister, the surgeon who performed his previous shoulder reconstruction in 2023. While a return before the postseason remains unlikely, Woodruff could potentially be available for playoff games if his rehabilitation progresses on schedule.
