Brewers reportedly giving first-round pick overdue promotion to Triple-A

Blake Burke, the Brewers' 15th-ranked prospect, has been promoted to Triple-A Nashville after breaking the Double-A Biloxi Shuckers' single-season home run record with 30 homers. The first baseman, selected in the 2024 Competitive Balance Round A (considered a first-round pick), posted a .285 batting average with a .970 OPS and 88 RBIs while also stealing 28 bases in 95 games this season. Burke has demonstrated a complete offensive skill set since joining the organization in late 2024, accumulating 46 homers and 52 doubles across 232 minor league games while maintaining a .373 on-base percentage.
