Brewers' reliever elects free agency after second successful stint in Milwaukee

Bryse Wilson, a 28-year-old right-hander, chose free agency after the Brewers outrighted him to Triple-A following the 2024 season, despite his success in Milwaukee. After struggling with the White Sox, Phillies, and Cubs, Wilson returned to the Brewers mid-season and posted a 2.63 ERA over 13.2 innings of relief work. Wilson has found his only sustained success with Milwaukee, where he was converted to a reliever and posted a 2.58 ERA in 2023 before posting a 4.04 ERA across 104.2 innings in 2024.
