Brewers news: First-round bye clinched, NLDS schedule, Colton Gordon's debut

The Milwaukee Brewers clinched a first-round bye after the Cincinnati Reds defeated the Atlanta Braves, securing Milwaukee's spot in the NLDS. The Brewers lost to the Philadelphia Phillies 6-4 in their own game, with William Contreras driving in two runs in the sixth inning to temporarily tie the game before Philadelphia pulled away. Game 1 of the NLDS will be played October 3 at American Family Field, marking the second consecutive year the Brewers have avoided the Wild Card Series. The team now aims to secure the No. 1 overall seed to guarantee home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.
