Brewers favor experience in naming Dustin May NLDS Game 3 starter

Manager Pat Murphy selected Dustin May to start Game 3 of the NLDS against San Diego on Tuesday night, prioritizing postseason experience over rookie Robert Gasser despite May's weaker September numbers. May has nine playoff appearances including three starts, while Gasser has minimal postseason experience with only 2.2 relief innings. May also brings familiarity with Petco Park, where he has pitched 47.2 innings with a 3.02 ERA and recently threw a seven-inning gem against the Padres in August.
