Andrew Fischer, the Milwaukee Brewers' 20th overall pick in the 2025 draft from the University of Tennessee, hit his 47th home run on Thursday night to break the 21st-century minor league single-season record. Fischer surpassed Ryan Howard's previous mark of 46 homers set in 2004 across Double-A and Triple-A levels. The left-handed hitter has crushed 20 homers in High-A before his June promotion to Double-A Biloxi, where he's added 27 more while maintaining a 1.025 OPS across 69 games. Fischer's power-heavy approach includes a 33.2% strikeout rate balanced by an 18.2% walk rate, though scouts have praised him as the best college bat in last year's draft class.
