Brandon Woodruff Hopes To Pitch In World Series

The Brewers advanced to the World Series for the first time since 1982 by sweeping the Dodgers, holding Los Angeles to just 11 runs across four games. Right-hander Brandon Woodruff, sidelined since July 4th with shoulder inflammation, expressed confidence about joining the roster despite not having pitched in months or appeared in any rehab games. Woodruff would likely serve as a low-leverage reliever if he makes it back, as the Brewers' pitching staff performed well throughout the NLCS without him. The veteran pitcher is set to become a free agent after a season limited by injury, having thrown only 177 innings since the start of 2023.
