Astros firing Dana Brown could directly affect Brewers' leadership pipeline

The Houston Astros fired general manager Dana Brown on Monday despite leading the AL West with five weeks remaining in the regular season. Brown had been with the team since January 2023 and led the Astros to two division titles in 2023 and 2024, though they finished second with 87 wins in 2025. The Astros will need to fill the general manager position this offseason, and several analysts have identified potential candidates from the Milwaukee Brewers' highly regarded front office, including Matt Klentak, Billy Eppler, Matt Kleine, and Thad Levine.
